Once again, the Bryan Acheampong Foundation is delighted to announce the graduation of the 3rd batch of beneficiaries of its Post Graduate Scholarship Programme. On the 29th of April 2023, twenty-five (25) teachers who were supported with full scholarships to undertake a master’s programme in Masters in Educational Studies graduated at the Akropong Campus of the Presbyterian University, Ghana. The total number of teachers supported under the scheme comes to 145. It is expected that the teachers will impact the knowledge acquired by their students and pupils as they go back to their schools in the various districts.
Present at the ceremony was the Moderator of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana Rt. Rev. Prof. J.O.Y. Mante who is also the Chancellor of the university, the President of the University Prof. Ebenezer Oduro Owusu, and other professors and dignitaries. The Chancellor in his speech charged the graduands not to belittle their certificate but should stand out wherever they find themselves and should portray themselves in their daily lives as people who are well educated.
The total amount expended on the third batch (25 beneficiaries) of the Postgraduate Programme comes to One Hundred and Forty-Seven Thousand, Five Hundred Ghana Cedis (GHS 147,500.00). The Foundation has so far expended over Eight Hundred and Fifty-Five Thousand, Five Hundred Ghana Cedis on tuition fees for 145 beneficiaries since the inception of the scheme in 2019.
The university used the occasion to express its gratitude to the Founder of the Foundation for his immense support and encouraged the Foundation to continue support for teachers to help increase the quality in our educational sector.
