Day One of the 2026 BAF Quiz Competition
The 2026 BAF Quiz Competition has officially commenced, with Day One of the contest held on 9 February 2026 at the Akwasiho Presbyterian Church in Kwahu. The opening round featured six schools from the Akwasiho Circuit of the Kwahu East Education Directorate.
The participating schools were Suminakese D/A JHS, Suminakese R/C JHS, Mota D/A JHS, Aduhema D/A JHS, Akwasiho R/C JHS and Akwasiho Presbyterian JHS.
Results from the Akwasiho Circuit Contest
At the close of the day’s competition, Suminakese D/A JHS emerged winners with 33 points. Mota D/A JHS placed second with 22 points, while Akwasiho Presbyterian JHS secured third place with 19 points.
All participating students were presented with Certificates of Participation in recognition of their efforts.
Organizers congratulated all the participating schools and students, and wished the qualifying teams well as the competition progresses. The grand final is scheduled to take place in Abetifi on 3 March 2026.
About the BAF Quiz Competition
The BAF Quiz Competition is a stimulating educational initiative aimed at promoting learning, critical thinking, teamwork and healthy competition among basic school students. This year’s edition has been expanded to include 56 participating schools, setting the stage for a more exciting and highly competitive contest.
